World Doula Week: How Postpartum Doula Support is Changing Parent's Lives

Postpartum Doula Support is an investment in changed lives

Happy World Doula Week 2019! We are kicking off the 2019 World Doula Week talking about how postpartum doula support is changing parent’s lives. That might sound like an exaggeration, but it truly is not.

Postpartum Doula support is about improving family transitions

We see articles all over Facebook and the news about parents losing up to 6-years of sleep in the first few years of their children’s lives. And the amazing news of a Postpartum Depression Drug that is FDA approved. And how new parents are overwhelmed with lack of sleep and newborn care and figuring out how to navigate parenthood.

And yet none of it offers a solution!

The solution is that parents need postpartum help

They need to know that it is okay to accept help.

They need to know that it is okay to plan out help from the beginning, not just when things get rough.

They need to know that occasional help, even one day a week or one night a week will build a great foundation from the beginning.

They need to know that support allows them to catch their breath, get the sleep they need, have the answers they need and have access to professionals who are compassionate and dedicated to helping them reach their goals.

Most importantly, postpartum doula support reduces your stress. Reduced stress allows you to bond more with your baby or babies. It keeps your babies calm. It allows you time to get all the little things done, sleep, rest and thrive as new parents.

Bottom line, new parents do not have enough support and more parents need to know that Postpartum Doulas exist and are changing parent’s lives.

Postpartum Doulas set you and your family up for success and is an amazing tool to help every family transition into parenthood grounded and supported.

I cannot say enough good things about these wonderful people! We had their support postpartum with our third baby and all I can say is I wish I had known about them sooner! I would highly recommend their services to anyone! ~ Lidnsay S. Google Review
