Cammie Jenkins, Postpartum Doula in Columbia MD
Affiliated Postpartum Doula
It has been the greatest joy of my career to be able to work with new families to ensure that they have their best possible start and are able to reach their maximum potential as a family unit. My role as your postpartum doula is to be your trustworthy companion as you walk your path, helping you identify your child's needs and learn how best to care for your new baby and for yourself.
Prior to becoming a doula, I worked for 18 years as a Infant and toddler teacher. In that role, I managed a classroom of infants and toddlers, splitting my time between caring for the infants and developing the curriculum for the preschool-aged children. During this time I met and worked with so many young families just finding their way, and became increasingly passionate for providing more direct support to these new families.
I am honored to bring my years of experience to the families I now serve as a doula. I consider myself a mentor to these new parents, helping them find the tools and techniques to make their first days and weeks with their new baby as comfortable as possible. Additionally, I am trained in infant soothing calming techniques, lactation, sleep training, and also carry CPR and First Aid Certification, allowing me to provide the best care for infants under my care.
I look forward to helping you have your best possible start as a new family.
